extended school year

"SUMMER DISCOVERY" is Hunterdon Prep's Extended School Year Program. This dynamic six-week program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to maintain the academic, social, and behavioral progress they have made through the ten month school year.

This year, Summer Discovery begins on July 5, 2023 and ends on August 15, 2023. The program runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday-Friday.

SUMMER DISCOVERY is built upon the same community and collaborative concepts that define our ten month school year program. Students in the summer program receive instruction in math and English, take specialized electives courses, go on field trips, and participate in group counseling.

Knowing that some of our students may be hesitant about attending school during the summer, we include a variety of "theme weeks" and off campus excursions that keep students engaged and excited about learning.

SUMMER DISCOVERY can be a valuable component of a student's educational experience. We also find our Summer Discovery program to be a helpful tool in transitioning new students into our ten month program.

If you have questions about Summer Discovery please contact Rachel Geissinger, Summer Discovery Coordinator, at 908.832.7200 or rgeissinger@celdas.net..
